Join the Band
The Danville Community Band is comprised of volunteers from Danville
and surrounding areas. Members have varied musical backgrounds and
represent many professions and range in age from 13 to 80 years. They
are dedicated musicians who have a common interest in playing music
and improving their skills while having fun. The group meets between
September and June, each Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Community Presbyterian
Church, 222 W. El Pintado Rd., Danville, California. Instrumentalists
may contact Robert Calonico before coming to a rehearsal if they intend
to join the band. Visitors are always welcome to drop in and listen.
The Band's 85‑plus
members, who give freely of their time, are dedicated volunteers from Danville
and surrounding communities, including Alamo, Castro Valley,
Clayton, Concord, Davis, Dublin, El Cerrito, Fremont, Livermore,
Martinez, Moraga, Modesto, Oakland, Orinda, Pittsburg, Pleasanton, Pleasant
Hill, Richmond, San Lorenzo, San Ramon, Stockton, Vacaville and Walnut Creek. They
represent many diverse professions, students and retirees, and ages range from
13 to 80+.
